Lead Associate Veterinarian
After receiving her undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Georgia, Dr. Vella earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1993 from the University of Georgia. She joined the Conyers Animal Hospital team in 2007 and has been the lead Associate Veterinarian at Social Circle Vet since 2016. Dr. Vella maintains a strong interest in the family medicine aspects of veterinary medicine. She began practicing acupuncture in 2017. She is a member of the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Vella lives in Monroe, Georgia and has two sons, Casey and Cody. Dr. Vella shares her home with a menagerie of furred and feathered friends, that include horses, dogs, cats and parrots. In her free time she enjoys fishing, cooking and working out.
